This program teaches adolescents how to play the steel pans and perform before a variety of audiences. Youth learn using the traditional methods of rote repetition and not by reading music. The practice session are held Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 5073 East Capitol Street, SE, Washington, DC. The Steelband averages two performances a month.

We welcome K-8 DC students living in Marshall Heights, Carver-Langston, and Kenilworth-Parkside.
